I hadn't realized how long it had been since we had posted any updates on Coop. So here's the scoop. In the last 3 weeks he has become even closer to crawling. He definitely dives for things that he wants to get to and will sort of creep on the floor. He gets all the motions of crawling but hasn't quite put them together yet so it's pretty funny to watch. He sits up pretty well now too on his own. He is much less wobbily and can sit and shove his toys in his mouth and even kind of catch himself when he goes off balance. He now can object, VERY strongly whenever you take something away from him that he shouldn't put in his mouth. This is usually paper or a magazine of some sort and he will eat it until its just goop and he can swallow it (which I found out when we took him to get Christmas photos). He thinks its hilarious when you say "boo" now. You don't even have to jump out or hide your face when you say "boo", apparently just the word itself is hysterical. While he has been rolling over for a good few months now, he just realized in the last week that he can now put himself in whatever position he wants when he sleeps. So he wastes no time, no matter how tired he is, in flipping himself onto his belly and passing out. It has become quite funny to watch because you can put him in his crib sound asleep but as soon as his body hits that mattress he instantly flips over. We're also drinking juice these days. Just one bottle a day for now but it does help with my nursing since I'm still pumping at work (always a great time :) ). Oh and we also managed to get kicked out of our Pediatricians' practice for wanting to use an alternative vaccine schedule. Shame on you Dr. Smith! I almost forgot to add the latest milestone (probably caught up in my disgust for the pediatrician). Cooper Jay can now stand holding onto something. He loves to stand outside of his exersaucer and play with the toys. So we may just skip the crawling and go straight to the walking. Here are pictures from the last couple of weeks. Steve will be posting some video as well......
Happy Thanksgiving!
