We had a wonderful weekend (with the exception of another round of the stomach flu Saturday night). The weather was great and we took full advantage of that and of our surroundings. When Coop was only a few months old we took him on the playground that borders our house and he would enjoy the swing, but now we are really getting into the fun stuff. We took him to a much more exciting playground down the street and there was a plethora of photo ops.
Sunday was a day that took a lot out of Steve and I. We were both trying to recover from the stomach flu (Cooper was spared) but even if we were feeling a little better our stomachs were in knots the entire day. Coop has decided that he is done with crawling, it's for amateurs. Instead, walking is much more exciting even though it's not done nearly as graceful. So Cooper toddled into the kitched while I was emptying the dishwasher and proceeded to fall face first into the lowered dishwasher door. After the gushing blood and screaming subsided he came away with a lower split lip and a bloody upper lip but all teeth in tact. He was a little sensitive after that, as expected. Then, later that evening Steve was playing with Coop on the couch and before we knew it Coop had bounced/rolled right off the couch and with a sickening thud landed flat on his back on the floor. Needless to say, we were all done for the night. But Cooper definitely has his Dad's recovery skills and was happy as a clam come Monday morning. He had a great day with his friends at daycare with no mishaps. Enjoy the pre-split lip photos.....
Aunt Jo I think you've got your climber....

We also spent Friday afternoon at Nana and Pappy's. Here is Coop's great poop face and him enjoying a slice of pizza (by the way his shirt says "i blame my parents with a picture of Pig Pen from Peanuts :) "....
