Oh What Fun......

A little craziness this past week...

So a few days ago Coop gets sick with a bronchial virus of some sort. He's coughing and wheezing....of course this makes for a very "sensitive" baby. Around the same time that the cold appeared, Coop finally starts to get his first tooth...but not just 1...maybe 3 or 4 are working there way in at once!

On top of Coop getting sick...mommy has been sick for the past week also and now I'm getting sick too. Between mommy and daddy being sick and Coop waking up in pain from his teeth every couple hours....no one in the Bedilion house is sleeping much.

A few post ago we did a post called "Cooper Jay Walks". With all the craziness lately we never really followed up on that. Although Coop has prefected his crawling and is very quick getting around, he has always wanted to stand and walk. I think he was standing by himself at 4 months for a few seconds. Well, now all he wants to do is stand and walk. Just so you know....Coop isn't the greats at walking yet...he can really only take a few steps by himself. His record is about 20 steps.

The kid doesn't think about falling.....at all! He just stands up.....charges forward then falls in whatever direction he is leaning toward. This has started to become a problem. The poor little guy looks like someone should call child services on us. Daycare called me Tuesday to tell me Coop fell and bumped his head. The bump was actually more like a brushburn on the side of his forehead. Yesterday I walk into Daycare and the director stopped me and said Coop has to have a rubber suit and a helmet on when he comes back. He apparently pulled himself up..reached for a toy...the toy fell and hit his nose...then he fell and hit his head. Poor Coopy had a bloody nose and a bruise on his forehead....along with the brushburn when I picked him up!

One more quick thing....Coop climbs stairs now. Last night he climbed 4 stairs all by himself. Time to break out the baby gates!

IT'S COOPY!!!!!!! We might be in the "I'm adorable and I know it" phase......

Cooper doesn't have a tan he's just covered in spaghetti and since we fed him without his shirt on b/c when he does have a shirt on he takes his left hand and grabs his right sleeve and proceeds to pull it off of his arm so he can take the empty sleeve and wipe his face. Thus, Coopy has a dirty face...

Live from Pittsburgh......It's Sesame Street!!!

Yep, you guessed it. Cooper Jay saw his first Sesame Street Live show on Saturday. We braved the nasty weather with his Aunt Laurie and cousins Alison and Jeffrey. We were a little nervous that it wouldn't hold Coop's attention but our seats were close enough (although you can't tell by the pics) that it left him in wonderment for most of the show. He had a great time sitting on Alison's lap and watching Jeffrey shout his admiration (I use the term "admiration" loosely, could also be interpreted as desperation :) )for "ELMOOOOOOOO"!

Cooper Jay Walks!

Cooper is making amazing strides these days, particularly in the last week. He's super speedy on the army crawl and he will pick his belly up and walk his legs up. He can also pull himself up to a standing position and can sit straight up from laying totally flat on his back. He can also take a few steps on his own. Steve just sent me this picture, they spend Thursday afternoons together too. Look out people...Cooper Jay is on the move!!!!!

Mondays with Daddy

We are back to our normal schedule now. Cooper and Daddy are home on Mondays doing all kinds of fun things. This morning they are running some errands and then going to the Carnegie Science Center to see an Ocean movie in the imax theatre. Here's a cute picture of Coopy out and about with his Dad today.

Just for fun

It's hard to believe that the holidays are over. We enjoyed our last weekend at home before returning to work even though Coop is a bit under the weather. We're thinking that it has to be teeth since he's 8 months old and hasn't had any so far. Of course, I'm perfectly ok with him having no teeth b/c he's just so cute with a toothless smile. I don't see why the teeth have to spoil all the fun!

Coop's First Christmas

Christmas was a big hit of course! Although Coopy didn't really get what was going on he definitely enjoyed all the fuss and all the new toys and clothes. He even managed to sucker Nana and Pappy into getting his rocking moose on Christmas Eve(but Santa brought plenty more the next morning)! I'll let the pictures do the story telling today....

Coop loves playing on stairs (something that petrifies Mommy). He particularly likes to pretend he's been jailed :).......Too much excitement on Christmas morning......Aunt Jo really knows how to pick great hats.....Hahahahaa.....I suckered Nana in to giving me a present early....
