Cabin Fever

We're done with winter here.  It needs to just be over.  I didn't realize how bad Coop may have had cabin fever until last week when we had two warm days and he got out of the car and looked at Steve and said, "Daddy I want to run".  And run he did.  Up the street, down the street, up the driveway, down the driveway, through the yard.  I felt really bad for Steve's legs, but not bad enough to drag my big ol' belly out there with them.  Here are snapshots of our activities these days:

Change is coming....

I'm currently in my 22nd week and considering Coop came at 34.5 weeks we aren't going to take any chances with not being ready this time.  This past weekend we started working on Maddie's room.  Coop was really helpful with the painting and I think he is excited to have a little sister. 

He has pretty much said from the beginning he was going to have a sister, even before we knew.  He's very sweet to his sister already.  He likes to say hi to her through my belly button and he likes to poke her through my belly button, he thinks that is mostly hilarious even though it kind of hurts Mommy.  I'm looking forward to being home this summer on my maternity leave with him even though I'm sure I'm going to be busy with our little newborn.  It's hard to believe in a couple of months he will be 3.  There isn't a lot of baby left in him but I think I captured a rare moment of it this weekend when he was napping.

Well....the blog has been suffering lately.  We have been extremely busy.  Things are good in the Bedilion house....we are all itching for warmer weather.

Here is some news that we haven't posted about yet. 

Cooper is going to be a big brother.....to a little sister!  I think we settled pretty quickly on a name, Madison Jean.  Both Steph's and My mom's middle name is Jean, so that was an easy one.  We like nicknames...and Cooper gets called Coop more than his full name....so I assume Maddie will be the name that gets used most.  Anyways...Maddie is due here in late June, but if she takes after Coop, she will be here several weeks early.

Back to Coop.  He had a great Christmas.  This was the first Christmas he fully understood that Santa is a guy that brings presents and he rides in a sleigh with reindeer.  Christmas morning, he bolted downstairs....ran past the tree and straight to see if Santa ate the cookies.  We had to remind him that Santa might have put presents under the tree.

Cooper is finally big enough to get out and do fun things in the snow. We went sled riding on a "real" hill. He even soloed. He made his first snow angel and snowman. We spent atleast an hour trying to find a magic hat for Frosty, but no luck there.

The wifey and Cooper toughed it out at home without me for 2 weeks.  Either Steph is completely sick of me and looks forward to kicking me out for 2 weeks or she is a great wife...maybe both.  Anyhow, Thanks!

It was extremely hard being away this time.  I did get to video chat with the family, but I think that just made me miss them more.

I did make it back just in time for Trick Or Treat night.  Cooper dressed up at Thomas the Train.

It really is amazing the change in Cooper in just 2 weeks!  Not only does his shirts no longer fit him, but his speech is amazing now.  Before I left, he struggled to spit out a sentence.....but now he tells me exactly what he wants.

Next time I'm taking the family to Colorado with me!

Too long

It's been too long since we posted an update but in all honesty most days I feel like I'm not sure how I had the time to shower and get out the door to work.  We had a great summer and Cooper is growing like a weed.  I was a bad mom and didn't take him for 2 year old pictures so this weekend he actually let me take them myself in the back yard.  I think they turned out pretty good, and I like them better b/c they were taken at home.  I still have to photoshop them a little to boost the clarity but I love the sun and the background and how he was so good to pose for his Momma.

My Baby

My baby boy is currently sick with what we thought was strep but is actually some really oddly named virus that causes blisters on the back of his throat.  Apparently it just has to run its course and we just pump him full of ibuprofen every 6 hours to ease the pain.  However, he can't swallow so when I say "pump him" you can take a wild guess as to where we have to put the ibuprofen.  Yes, this is what is happening to my poor baby.  On the other hand, up until Sunday he had a great weekend.  We went to the camper again, which you really can't go wrong with for Coop, and on Saturday evening we spent some time on Mt. Davis, which is the highest point in Pennsylvania.  It also has a strikingly beautiful lake and sunset and it made my boy look like the angel he is basking in the warm of the setting sun (most of the time).
