Our little boy is growing up!

So today was a fantastic news day. They weaned Cooper off of the oxygen, IV and feeding tube and are prepping him to leave the incubator and into an open air bed. So by his one week birthday tomorrow he will be weaned off of everything and just being monitored. We also found out that he should be coming home on Friday! He is taking a bottle perfectly and we also nursed for the first time tonight and it was like he knew exactly what he was doing. We expected his oxygen levels to fluctuate since he was off of the machines but it was as if he never needed the oxygen to begin with, he didn't even miss a breath or start breating heavily while he nursed or finished his bottle. We have plenty of pictures from tonight since it was the first time he could wear clothes and we will post them soon. He is a remarkable little guy and we can't wait until Friday. (Oh and just a quick note, he looks a little rashy in the photos from today but that is just from where all the tubes and adhesives were on his face).
