Our Little Man

Cooper arrived May 7th, 2008 at 9:26pm weighing 6lbs, 5 oz. He is considered a late term premie. As you can see in some of the pictures he is in the NICU to help get his lungs to mature so we can take him home. Last night they were able to remove him from the ventilator and he currently is on room air with a canula (oxygen tubes in his nose) with 30% oxygen. He is still breathing a little hard but he is improving and he is at a great weight, even gaining a few ounces last night. Today they will start giving him a little bit of breast milk and we are hoping that will make him even stronger. We don't know when he will come home at this point it looks like he could come as early as sunday but stay for as long as a week.
